Friday the 13th has gone by now, so I felt better about going outside.
Well, It's not really an Uber fancy Kimber, like that cool fella in Mesa who talks and spells funny, but I thought it was pretty cool. So, I bought it at the gunshow today.
I'm not really sure what I've got, being an ignorant Missouri hick and all. I do know it is a Model 82, Ser # H4XX, has Kimber of Oregon, Clackamas, OR etc... on the barrel.
Now what is throwing me off a bit is it has the Monte Carlo type stock with the cheek piece. It doesn't say Cascade anywhere I've found yet. I looks like the classic in a nicer stock. http://www.gunsinternational.com/detail.cfm?id=100032757&string=cid=159
I am really doubting that it has been fired. The seller, sold it on consignment. It actually looks to me like it was just taken out of the box.
Since a certain "big guy who keeps telling my brother to shoot me with wax bullets" told me that I should "go snatch it up" good price, I purchased it.
The bolt and bore had something like cosmoline on it. After cleaning it up, she looks new inside and out. The seller even knocked another $120 off the price. It Even came with those nice Talley rings and a get ready for this..... A Bushnell "ScopeChief VI" telescope on it. I know how neat of a fixed power scope that is, and you guys are probably lining up to trade me a Leupold VXIII for the Bushnell, but I just might hold onto it.
-------------------- If it's not worth doing, then it's certainly not worth doing right.
