So, Does anybody in this neck of the woods have any hands-on with the 327 in the Ruger SP 101. Its been rolling around my head for a while.
How is the accuracy/shootability compared to a regular 357?
And there is some wildcat potential in the new brass case.

Tack,
I haven't even seen or heard of one coming through any local gunshops. They'r a mighty hard find, from what I understand.
I do load for a Single Six in .32 H&R mag. Had a few problems working up an accurate load, but I think I'm finally there. The load I'm using isn't too far under .327 performance, if I'm figuring right, and it's a comfortable load to shoot.
It's loud though.
To be quite honest, I'm not all that interested in it in it's current offering of the SP101 or the Charter Arms (I did see one in a Charter Arms revolver. I guess they're easier to find?).
I want one in a mid-framed revolver that's more designed for hunting and outdoor travel. A Single Six or New Vaquero in .327 Federal would be great!

Im kinda looking for a little something to stuff in the windshield bag on the bike. And its been a while since Ive had a new cartridge to fool around with. Although I may wait a while longer and see if more makes-models do come out.

I owned a SP101 .357 once and frankly it is a bit heavy and blocky to be a concealed weapon in my opinion. You may as well carry a S&W #10 snubbie. The cartridge doesn't interest me either, though I have three S&W's chambered for the .32 S&W Long and one in .32 H&R magnum. I see little to gain from it, other than brief interest and small sales.
Here are my .32's. The first three in the left column, bottom gun in the right. Two S&W #32-1's, a #30-1, and a #331 TI. Got the #331 TI for my daughter. Light weight, less recoil, six shots.
If you want a handgun to carry on a bike, consider a S&W auto. The #3913, 3914, 908, 457, 469, 669 and a few other models are not much larger than a J frame S&W. Slimmer, near the same size, and carry 80% more cartridges than a five shot .38 special. For size comparison, this photo shows a S&W #3913 with a J frame #640 on top of it.
Here is my S&W #908 9mm, puchased used last week for $199.99 + tax. It is a economy version of the 3913/3914 series pistol, which I think have both been discontinued. There is also a #908s, made in stainless steel.
