Before you start the jokes about ass gas, , anybody ever try this product?Someone was telling me they work great on another board, that wears them daily. Says they are comfortable, very concealed and once you get used to the gun hangin around your private area, you dont even think about it after a while. Heres the deal: I want to start packin more. I have gotten alot busier than I was and alot more chasing fugitives than before. Comes with expanding business. Along with that comes more people that dont care much for me. I dont feel as comfortable anymore walking around in the dark with my gun in the truck and dont want it shown really either. These Thunderwear have pouches for two guns, either small, medium or large and also pouches for handcuffs, money or whatever. The medium should be perfect for my Bulldog Pug and handcuffs, when I dont want anyone to know Im packin. (If I get the Glock out, I got a belt on with it, mace, stun gun, and sometimes a shotgun, full riot gear if you will. Thats when we know hes there and we are hitting the house. But theres alot of time, I want to pack, but just talking to people, with a doo rag on, kinda incognito, but dont want anyone to know Im packing.) Thats when I think the Thunderwear would come in handy. The Kel-Tec or Bobcat or Tomcat, just so you would know the method of my madness, I just wanted something real small for more casual times. Taking my wife to eat, kids to the park, whatever..... Never know when your going to see someone or they see you.... and dont always want a big ass gun hangin on me. Make sense or no? Anyone have any experience with the Thunderwear or a better idea, please speak up. Andy [This message has been edited by Andy (edited 12-21-2004).] |

andy, My concern would be the handgun catching you in the nuts when you sit down... ![]() I haven't tried the "Thunderwear", but I've tried IWB holsters and a lot of other ways of carrying a handgun and only found one that works really well for me. Kramer Leather makes the Confidant Shirt, and it's the best way I know to carry concealed. If you're going to carry a heavy gun, order it a size smaller; otherwise order it to fit. I wear mine under a light western shirt or a loose fitting t-shirt and I've never had anyone spot it. Very comfortable. Here's a link Daryl |

Andy, go back to your sporting days..... wear you a j-strap and everything would be contained and not available to catching when you sit down..... |

Thunderwear eh? Never seen or tried one. The notion of packing a pistol next to my Johnson just sounds hilarious. That can't possibly be comfortable for a male, can it? Gives the term "cocked" and locked a whole new meaning. I was curious enough to crunch up the web site, but it was hard to keep a straight face while reading it.
When you sit down, the weapon fits down comfortably between your legs.

"Sensitive" body parts are behind the bulk of the weapon.
Maybe it's just me, but something about that makes me want to reach down and rearrange "the boys" as I read it.
"3 Layer Moisture Barrier" not just one layer to protect your firearm!
Dribbles WILL cause rust I suppose, and the number of "shakes" you can get in while wearing one just might be limited by the size of your pistol. And then there's the "double" version... Zowie! Now THAT looks downright painful, not to mention confusing. A fellow could go to whip out his combat commander, and grab his snub-nose by mistake.....how embarrasing. All kidding aside, if you were packing your fully stoked and ready Tomcat in your Thunderwear, just what do think would happen if you were accosted and robbed at gunpoint by a group of topless bikini clad Amazon nymphs at the Party Cove? Would you still be able to "snatch wood" and make a fast draw when it counts? Would that scenario make the draw "harder" or would you have your hammer down on an empty chamber? Pay no mind to me buddy, buy one and give us a good T&E write up Andy. Hmmmmm.....If I remember right, I think Tackdriver owns a couple of those things. I don't know if I'd trust my luck to a mouse gun. Those little J frames aren't much bigger and 38spl +P or .357 mag makes me feel a little better. The Glock 26 and Kahr MK9 are only slightly larger than a lot of .380's and have more oomph. I remember watching a video of some guy dumping 7-8 rounds of .22lr into a lawyer he was pissed at from 3 yards. Lawyer took them to the chest, arms and head and still walked away. Mark Dang. Meant to post this in the Kel-Tec thread. I need another cup of coffee. ![]() [This message has been edited by mpol777 (edited 12-21-2004).] |

It looks like that product is better suited for the other sex. Not quite as crowded where you plan to put the iron you know. But then we carry purses for that kind of thing. The testimonials on the web that Shaun showed me ARE pretty funny:
A potent and reliable weapon nestled between your legs is a comforting feeling when situations call for action
....Sounds like one of Shaun's "pick-up" lines back when we were dating. You guys really need to get out more. |

Would you need suspenders with those? Deb, You posted what I was also thinking. The pic that Shaun posted, doesn't look like the kind of person who also packs wood. Unless, maybe they are from San Fran. I'll have to remember that quote. ![]() [This message has been edited by DanS (edited 12-21-2004).] |

I've just come home from a difficult day and logged on to see what’s happening and this thread has lightened up the day especially the comment from Mrs Frame about how “you guys got to get out more”. I told you this the other day. “You’ve got to get out more and broaden your horizons”.Next thing you’ll notice will be you’ll start to get all twitchy and maybe your hair will start to fall out. Especially with that thing hanging in the wind. |

Daryl, If Andy carries a .500 S&W as a backup what is his big gun? Oh that's right, its in his thunderwear. Dave
