Global Warming doesn't mean that the whole planet heats up; it's a much more complex phenomenon than that. As you can see, your beloved Pentagon itself forecasts weather perturbations to include a DROP of five or so degrees for North America, with a corresponding rise in temperatures for South America and parts of Africa.

You'll also note that they predict winter storms that increase in intensity, which strikes me as a fair summation of the little old snow that we just had (which is more snow than I've seen in the valley in 22 or so years).

I'd like to think that it's all bad science, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case; if the desert Southwest sees increasing moisture as a result of global climate change it's good for this region in the short term, but it doesn't bode well for mankind as a whole, as best I can tell.
