pack hunting? something on the table?
      #1892135 - Tue Feb 26 2008 01:49 PM Attachment (35 downloads)

Hello all,
I have always heard that the coyote was a lone hunter. The other night on my stand around 7pm the usual set of howls while they gathered occured. I started my call. Cat in distress. I pulled in 3 the other night with the cat. This time nothing came in. About 10 minuttes I heard a pretty serious set of barks and a challenge call. Five minuttes later the local fire alarm blew and the whole pack of them had moved toward the challenge. This confused me. Yesterday I took the 4wheeler out and the gps. 127 yards behind me is where they gathered. 780 yards south of me was a dead deer torn apart. Only thing left were a few bones and alot of hair. I live in upstate ny and see coyotes together and never alone. I found a track yesterday that messured 3-3/4 in. long and 2 in. wide. I will try and post a picture. Does anybody know if this is a coyote or some breed of wolf?

Hi Sagebrush.

Welcome to the forum.

Just for your information, you really don't have to use capital letters on all your post.

Sagebrush,

I know that track, I have seen it all over the Northwest. Definitely a Sasquatch.

Welcome to the board. Don't Pay much attention to anyone and you will get along fine.
