It's just a shame that those guys, who are too lazy to skin a coyote and handle the fur properly, are just ambitious enough to get out of the house with a rifle, even though they do most of their damage from the front seat of a pickup truck.
Whew! (I just can't help it. I hate 'em, and I can't help it...)
Having gotten that off of my chest, I have this to say about skinning a coyote: Send away to the address below, or call, and order a copy of "The Two Minute Coyote" , from Finley Furs .
I bought a copy of this video five years ago because I KNEW that Roy Finley was a liar, and I was willing to spend $34.95 in order to be able to call him up and tell him so.
All I can tell you is that although God put the hide on a coyote to stay, he talked to Brother Finley and told him how to take it off.
*By the way, I'm talking about recreational varmint callers here, and not anyone involved in ADC (Animal Damage Control) work, either as an employee of a State or Federal organization or working privately under the same auspices. In many cases official guidelines dictate that the targeted animal be left in place where taken, and no portion of that animal may be removed for any purpose.
These regulations are in place to prevent abuses (Black bear gall bladders and claws and teeth are big-ticket items on the black market, and it's all too easy for an innocent old bear to suddenly become "Old Slewfoot" when big dollars are involved) and I'm sure that lots of professional ADC guys don't like to leave fur laying any more then I do.
